ESSER Funding

The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) is a federal program administered in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to help elementary and secondary schools across the Nation address the impact of learning loss and social distancing on our students’ mental health. These grants are the first step of a larger effort to secure the resources, expertise, and training that schools need to support their students, educators, and families.

  • Professional Development for educators
  • The tools to build a community where students, educators, and families can thrive

How much funding is available?

At $189.5 billion, this is the largest grant of federal funding into K-12 public education in history.
