Fran Amara, M.S. Ed., is a coach and trainer for the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. He has worked in education in Connecticut for 16 years as a teacher, coach, and an administrator. Fran is currently the Principal at Northwestern Middle School in Barkhamsted CT, a RULER school. Fran completed the two year Changemaker Fellowship with the YCEI. His work with the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and implementing RULER at his school and surrounding communities has energized and inspired him. Emotional intelligence has allowed him to grow as an educator, leader and father.
